Good morning
The hot temps and unsettled weather will hang around today in the MIDW system, but there is cool front moving in over the weekend that should help cool things down for us next week. Our weather impacts will be light rains, T-storms, and more hot and swampy temps with some areas exceeding 100+. Some of those conditions may cause minor delays for Friday Pickup & Delivery operations and Friday night into Saturday morning LH inbounds, but we are not expecting any major delays due to today’s forecasted weather. More updates on any additional weather woes will be sent out as needed. We also had a few delays today due to contract driver issues, and SEFL continuing their imposed embargo on shipments originating in their system destined for our ND/SD/NE terminals (see below). See weather and delay details below.
Please note the MME (OMA)and continued SEFL embargo info below and we have reopened all terminals inbound into OMA (except inbound 3PL transactional business to OMA). The only portion of the inbound embargo that we are not lifting is the inbound transactional 3PL business. We will continue to review the operation in OMA and make a determination on the transactional business in the near future.
We are good to pick up and move PFF shipments today.
