Update 3:30PM:
Hurricane Ian moves onto southwest Florida, then slowly progresses to the north-northeast. Life-threating storm surge, devastating winds, several tornadoes, and significant heavy rain. Widespread & prolonged flooding and flash flooding are possible across much of Florida.
Due to the storm we will be changing tonight’s operation as follows:
Jacksonville, FL Hub will be closed.
Linehaul in Florida will not run.
Any schedule effected by the travel ban will need to be available for alternative assignments.
No travel into Florida.
As conditions change further updates will be send.
Just an update this morning regarding Florida Terminal operations today:
Ft Myers – Closed
Tampa – Closed
Orlando – Closed
West Palm Beach – Limited skeleton crew
Jacksonville – Limited
Miami- Full P&D Operation
Hurricane Ian currently a Category 4 storm with winds at 155 MPH. Due to make landfall around 1 PM near Ft. Myers. The closed terminals are all secured and all docks blocked with trailers. Freight is all off the dock and loaded on trailers. Will keep you posted as we progress. FYI
