Below is a message from Central Transport regarding closures due to winter weather:

The winter storm that moved swiftly from the Plains states into the Midwest overnight caused significant disruption with freight movement overnight as a result of the snow, ice and strong winds that made road conditions hazardous throughout the regions.

Due to the conditions many lanes originating/destined for the following states had to be cancelled to ensure driver safety:

Dakotas

NE

IA

MN

WI

IL

IN

MI

Northern OH

Western PA

Many of the lanes that were operated in the region had delays as a result of the road that will impact morning processing. All Next Day Hubs operated but most were limited as a result of the cancellations. Linehaul will be working today and over the weekend to recover but customers can expect a 1+ day delay in transit.

Recovery efforts this weekend may be hampered by another storm that will bear down on the region this weekend (below) but every effort will be made to get transit corrected ahead of this next storm.
